WMH lawyer Deanna Paul discusses the New York Court of Appeals decision in Harvey Weinstein’s Manhattan sex crime prosecution.

The state’s highest court ordered a new trial Thursday, concluding that the trial judge improperly admitted prior bad act testimony from three accusers and, had Weinstein taken the stand, would have permitted cross examination on a range of conduct with little probative value. Both rulings, the court said, deprived Weinstein of his right to a fair trial.
