Ronald G. White Joins WMH as Partner in White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice
NEW YORK , October 11, 2022 – Walden Macht & Haran, LLP (WMH), an elite and nationally recognized white collar criminal defense and civil litigation firm, today announces that veteran trial and appellate lawyer Ronald G. White has joined the firm as partner in its New York office, where he will be the 10th former federal prosecutor and the 5th Chambers-ranked white collar defense partner.

Bringing over 30 years of experience in white collar criminal defense, SEC enforcement, internal investigations, and complex civil litigation matters, Mr. White has been repeatedly recognized by Chambers USA and The Legal 500 US. Most notably, he has represented major corporations and executives in high-profile investigations and litigations brought by the Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission, including those involving Malaysian sovereign wealth fund 1MDB; hedge fund Och-Ziff Capital Management; soccer’s world governing body, FIFA; hedge fund Platinum Partners; and credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s.
Mr. White previously served for 10 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York, where he was Deputy Chief of the office’s Business and Securities Fraud Unit. As a prosecutor, Mr. White tried cases and conducted investigations involving securities fraud, tax evasion, health care fraud and money laundering, as well as kidnapping, bank robbery, murder and racketeering.

Mr. White’s partnership at WMH marks another milestone in the firm’s expanded white-collar defense practice group, following Gordon Mehler joining as a partner in its New York office. With more than 40 years of experience in white collar criminal defense and civil litigation, Mr. Mehler has successfully represented clients in some of the most notable white collar criminal cases, including a defendant in the Bernard Madoff securities fraud trial. Mr. Mehler previously served for more than a decade as a federal prosecutor, including as Deputy Assistant Attorney General during the Clinton Administration.
