James concentrates on complex commercial matters, white collar defense, and government investigations. He represents individuals and corporations in both civil and criminal actions and advises clients on employment issues.

In each matter, James dedicates himself to finding the best solution for the client. He has experience preparing clients for and defending them in depositions and deposing opposing parties.

James maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented clients in criminal and civil matters involving armed robbery, conspiracy to distribute narcotics, and false arrest.

Prior to joining WMH, James practiced at a top-ranked global litigation law firm. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Gary R. Brown, then-Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of New York (EDNY), and practiced at a prominent labor and employment law firm.

James received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2015, and his B.A., magna cum laude, Baruch College in 2011. He is admitted to practice in New York, as well as the EDNY and SDNY.
