Walden Macht & Haran Names Adam P. Cohen as Newest Partner

Walden Macht & Haran LLP

Adam P. Cohen Walden Macht & Haran LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of Adam P. Cohen to Partner, effective January 1, 2019. Adam joined WMH in March 2015, shortly after the firm’s launch, and has established himself as a resourceful internal investigator, an innovative white-collar defense attorney, and a tough commercial litigator. Accordingly, clients trust Adam to handle their most sensitive and complex matters. As part of his white-collar and internal investigation practice, Adam represents both companies and individuals in antitrust cases; fraud; the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act; public corruption; highly-sensitive matters such as theft of trade secrets or investigations with political implications; and other white-collar defense contexts, including clients facing criminal charges or sentencing. He has led multi-jurisdiction investigations for some of the world’s largest health care, auto parts, reinsurance, banking, and technology companies, and has led teams simultaneously around the world in Brazil, South Korea, South Africa, Europe, and North America. Recently, Adam has defended both companies and individuals in several criminal and regulatory investigations by global competition enforcement agencies such as the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition, and Brazil’s Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), among others. Adam has exhibited excellence in significant high-stakes litigation of claims ranging from highly complex to garden variety—including antitrust, real estate disputes, theft of trade secrets, civil rights, employment matters, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and other common law claims—resulting in positive results in both federal and state court, as well as out-of-court settlements. Adam’s devotion for a greater good manifests in the tireless work he performs for our “good government” clients. As one of the lead attorneys responsible for pursuing the landmark legal challenge to New York City schools that led to an overhaul of their to bullying protocols and the implementation of new protections, Adam’s work has directly impacted more than one million schoolchildren. Adam graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2007. Prior to law school, he graduated from Yeshiva University where he earned his B.A. in 2002 with a dual major in Psychology and Economics. Adam’s dynamic and altruistic character as well as his proven integrity, dedication, creative strategic thinking, and thoughtful analysis embody the core values of the firm. We are proud of Adam’s service to our clients, and could not be happier to have him as our newest Partner.
