Fielding is a litigator with valuable government enforcement experience. Before joining Walden Macht & Haran, Fielding began his legal career as a Governor Andrew M. Cuomo-appointed Excelsior Fellow, serving as Enforcement Attorney for the New York State Department of Financial Services. In that role, Fielding spearheaded several civil investigations of banks, non-bank financial firms, and insurance companies. Fielding wrote and issued numerous subpoenas, handled all aspects of discovery, co-led meetings and negotiations with high-ranking executives and their counsel, and drafted multiple consent orders and settlement agreements, among other important duties.

During law school, Fielding received the American Bar Association nomination to serve as the Janet D. Steiger Fellow for the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General. During his fellowship, Fielding played an important role in writing a brief alleging price gouging in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. Fielding also worked for a notable New Jersey law firm, where he participated in all aspects of litigation, from drafting complaints to assisting with witness interviews.

Before law school, Fielding served as the legislative advocate for a renowned non-profit organization dedicated to advancing consumer protection and environmental health causes.

Fielding is a graduate of New York University School of Law, where he was the Senior Executive Editor of the Journal of Law and Liberty and an active member of the community. Fielding ran a law school organization that provides interview training and mentoring to hundreds of unemployed New Yorkers.
